2025 Head Football Coaching Changes


Region

Lowndes Academy - Shane Moye resigned in December to accept the head coaching job at Prattville Christian. He leaves behind one of the best turn arounds in program history. His teams won three state championships in the AISA and played for a fourth just last year. It was the best run for Lowndes since Mac Champion in the 1960s.

Abbeville Christian - Matthew Mims leaves Abbeville Christian following three seasons with a record of 7-24.

2025 Season - Stefan Gainey arrives at Abbeville Christian from Northside Methodist. He served as the defensive coordinator under current Rehobeth head coach Toby Greene at Northside Methodist in 2020 before taking over as the head football coach in 2023. Gainey is a former Troy Trojan.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Parrish scored a record 77 points in a playoff game against Cedar Bluff in 2001. The Tornados were shutout the following week 19-0 by Courtland.
